Witajcie w krajnie książek - Willkommen im Reich der Bücher - Welcome to the country of books

In der Schüler gibt es im Erdgeschoss eine kleine Bibliothek, die während der Pausen geöffnet ist und viele viele Bücher und Zeitschriften zum Lesen bereitstellt. Jedes Jahr werden die Erstklässler mit einem Programm im Land der Bücher begrüßt:
There is a library on the ground floor, which is open during the breaks and which offers lots and lots of books and magazines. Every year, the children of the first class are welcomed in the country of books with a short show:

Die Bibliothekarin erzählt über die Bücher der Bibliothek, über das Leben als Leser und die Schüler müssen natürlich auch Aufgaben lösen. Die "Großen" der AG Bibliothek tragen Lieder und Gedichte vor - als Märchenfiguren verkleidet.
The librarian talks about the books of the library, about life as a reader, and of course the pupils have to solve some tasks. The "Big Ones" of the students-library-group perform songs and recite poems, dressed up as fairy-tale characters.

Knifflige Fragen mussten bewältigt werden - difficult questions had to be answered

Zum Schluss stehen alle Erstklässler auf, erheben ihre rechte Hand und schwören feierlich: "Ich werde Bücher lieben, viel lesen, und die Bücher gut behandeln." Mit einem Diplom und Lutschern sind dann alle offiziell als Leser anerkannt. :-D
In the end the first years have to get up, raise their right hand and solemnly swear: "I will always love books, read a lot, and treat books respectfully!" With a diploma and lollipops they are now officially recognised as readers. :-D

Ist es nicht toll, was diese Schule alles so liebevoll für ihre Schüler organisiert?! 
Isn´t it great how many things are organized so lovingly by the school for its pupils?!
